Rokstone Expands Complex Claims Leadership
Rokstone has appointed Stephanie Belcourt as Head of Complex Claims, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening claims management as it diversifies into new specialty lines. With over 20 years of experience, including key roles at Apollo Syndicate 1969 and Hiscox, Belcourt brings a wealth of expertise to her new position. Ian Anson, Global CEO of Rokstone, emphasized the importance of a robust claims function, noting that it is critical to maintaining the firm’s reputation for exceptional performance and service.

Rokstone operates globally, with offices in the UK, Europe, USA, Asia, and the Middle East, underwriting more than $1.1 billion in gross written premium across a diverse portfolio of specialty lines.

Insurance Advisory Partners has appointed Benjamin James as a partner in its London office, effective at the end of June. James will play a key role in the firm’s ongoing expansion across the UK and Europe, working alongside its established leadership team.

With more than a decade of experience in investment banking and private equity, James specializes in strategic advisory, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and capital raising for the insurance and insurtech sectors. His prior roles include Investment & Advisory Director at Vemi Capital and Vice President at Financial Services Capital.

Evolution Claims Management Launches Specialist Subsidence Service
Evolution Claims Management has introduced Evo Subsidence, a dedicated service designed to accelerate diagnostics and streamline repairs for subsidence claims. The service aims to reduce both claim lifecycles and indemnity costs, reflecting the company’s focus on operational efficiency and client service.

The launch coincides with the appointment of Jim Pittman as Head of Professional Services, where he will oversee complex claims and lead the new subsidence division.

AXA XL Promotes New Head of Mid-Market Underwriting and UK Regions
AXA XL has promoted Mick Turvey to Head of Mid-Market Underwriting and UK Regions, UK & Lloyd’s. In his new role, Turvey will oversee underwriting strategy for the mid-market portfolio, focusing on clients with both domestic and international exposures, while managing regional teams across several UK cities.

Turvey, who joined AXA XL in 2013, brings 35 years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, positioning him well to lead the division’s strategic growth.
