Senior leadership changes have been announced at several London market carriers, with Brit Group appointing a new head of operations, ARAG creating a dedicated sustainability leadership role, and Beazley confirming a board appointment for its group chief underwriting officer.
Brit appoints head of operations
Brit Group has named Jane Bioletti as head of operations, strengthening its operations leadership team as the business continues to grow. Bioletti joined Brit in December and reports to operations director Susan Andrew.
She joins from Lloyd’s, where she spent more than a decade and most recently served as head of delegated authorities. In that role, Bioletti led Lloyd’s Delegated Authority Oversight and Operations division, gaining extensive experience in market governance, oversight frameworks and delegated distribution models.
At Brit, Bioletti will play a key role in leading and delivering enhancements to underwriting support services. Her remit includes driving process efficiency, strengthening data discipline and supporting the firm’s underwriting and distribution platforms.
The appointment comes during a period of strong financial performance for Brit, which reported a profit before tax of US$307.7 million in the first half of 2025, up from US$301.3 million in the same period last year.
ARAG creates sustainability leadership role
ARAG has established a new sustainability leadership position, appointing Jess Tasney as sustainability manager. tasking her with overseeing the legal expenses and assistance insurer’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy.
She will be responsible for advancing ARAG’s ESG agenda, enhancing reporting frameworks, and coordinating initiatives designed to deliver positive outcomes for the environment and the wider society.
Tasney joins ARAG from the University of Worcester, where she spent nearly three years as carbon reduction and sustainability manager. She previously held sustainability and environmental roles at housing and care provider Sanctuary and served as environment projects coordinator at Change Agents UK.
The appointment reflects ARAG’s increasing focus on ESG as it continues to expand its UK operations. The role sits within the people and corporate functions, with responsibilities spanning internal operations, stakeholder engagement and external reporting.
Earlier this year, ARAG also announced that Allison Lewis, head of employment, and William Ellerton, head of complex litigation, had joined the board of trustees at Bristol Law Centre for an initial four-year term.
