Two leading players in the commercial insurance sector have unveiled significant changes to their leadership teams, effective October 1, 2025.
QBE Appoints Anna Connolly as European Property Product Manager
QBE has named Anna Connolly as its new European Property Product Manager, effective October 1, 2025. In this role, Connolly will lead the strategic development of QBE’s European property portfolio. Her focus will include strengthening the insurer’s presence in major risk segments and enhancing its primary lead capabilities across the region.
Currently serving as Portfolio Manager for London Market – Property, Connolly will transition to the European Operations (EO) team while remaining based in London. She will report to Naintara Agarwal, Director of Underwriting and Portfolio Management for QBE EO.
Allianz Commercial Announces CFO Transition
Hyeji Kang has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Allianz Commercial and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS), subject to regulatory approval. She will succeed Oskar Buchauer, who will be stepping down after a nearly 30-year career with Allianz.
Kang brings a decade of experience with the group, most recently serving as CFO of Allianz Re. Since joining AGCS in 2015 as Chief Actuary for the Americas, she has held several global leadership positions, including Head of Actuarial Function, Global Head of Reinsurance and Catastrophe Management, and Global Head of Performance Steering for both AGCS and Allianz Commercial.
Buchauer, who joined Allianz in 1998, has held various senior roles across the organization. He became CFO of AGCS SE and Allianz Commercial in 2023, playing a pivotal role in shaping the group’s financial strategy and planning efforts.
