Miller Strengthens Leadership Team With Key Appointments

Miller has announced several senior appointments as it continues to expand its global capabilities and strengthen its leadership team across multiple business areas.

David Robinson has been named CEO of Miller’s Managing General Agent (MGA) division, while Neil Ross takes on the role of Chief Underwriting Officer.

Robinson joins from Optio Group, where he served as CEO and Managing Director, overseeing underwriting, claims, and actuarial functions. He brings more than 25 years of experience from Chubb and ACE, most recently as Regional President for the UK & Ireland, where he managed operations spanning property and casualty, accident and health, specialty personal lines, and high net worth segments.

Ross arrives from AXIS Capital, where he held a number of senior leadership positions, including Head of Retail for Global Markets. With over two decades of underwriting expertise across liability, cyber, and property lines, Ross has also led the development of digital underwriting capabilities to expand into new business segments.

Together, Robinson and Ross will drive the strategic direction and growth of Miller’s MGA business, with a focus on building a strong presence in specialty underwriting.

Expanding Leadership Beyond MGA

Miller has also made several key leadership moves beyond its MGA division. Earlier this month, the firm appointed Nick Taylor as Head of Direct Protection and Indemnity (P&I). Taylor, who brings over 15 years of experience in the marine sector, will lead the development of Miller’s direct P&I broking team and strengthen its offering to marine clients.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Miller has appointed Midori Katayama to head its Japan Desk in Singapore. Katayama has more than 14 years of experience in treaty and facultative reinsurance, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific market, and will play a key role in enhancing Miller’s regional specialist services.

Additionally, Miller has partnered with Specialty Program Group Canada and NormanMax Syndicate 3939 to launch a parametric earthquake insurance solution for commercial property owners in British Columbia, further diversifying its product portfolio.

Miller in Europe

In Europe, Miller has named Rodolphe Menn as Head of France, effective October 13. Menn brings over 25 years of insurance industry experience, most recently serving as Managing Director for RSA (Intact) in France. He began his career with Zurich and Marsh France, and later joined RSA in 2011 as Claims Director for Benelux, overseeing teams across property, liability, construction, and engineering lines.

In his new position, Menn will lead Miller’s business strategy in France, driving commercial activity and fostering closer collaboration between the French operation and Miller’s global network. He will report to Tim Nagle, Miller’s Head of Europe.
