MSIG USA has announced a strategic partnership with Coalition, the self-described world’s first Active Insurance provider, to introduce an advanced cyber insurance program for its U.S. clients.
Set to launch in August 2025, the program will offer primary cyber coverage to multinational companies that purchase insurance through MSIG USA globally and maintain operations in the United States. The initiative combines MSIG USA’s financial stability and disciplined underwriting with Coalition’s technology-enabled risk management capabilities.
Through this collaboration, MSIG USA’s broker partners will be able to provide clients with access to Coalition’s suite of services, including real-time risk monitoring, AI-driven threat detection, and rapid incident response tools.
“By integrating Coalition’s advanced analytics and monitoring tools, this innovative model of tailored, tech-enabled cyber protection will evolve with our international clients’ needs,” said Sarah Thompson, Head of Cyber at MSIG USA. “Together, MSIG USA and Coalition will offer coverage that not only responds to cyber incidents but also helps clients proactively mitigate risks before losses occur.”
The partnership builds on the existing global relationship between Coalition and MS&AD Insurance Group, MSIG USA’s parent company. Previous collaborations include a $30 million equity investment from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. in Coalition, a multi-year capacity agreement in Australia, and joint cyber risk management solutions in Japan aimed at small and midsize enterprises.
