Jensten Insurance Brokers has recently appointed Richard Connop as the new Regional Managing Director for the Midlands region.
With a remarkable career spanning over 30 years in the industry, Connop will be tasked with overseeing Jensten’s retail offices in the area and driving business growth, including pursuing further acquisitions within the region.
As per his LinkedIn profile, Connop brings a wealth of experience in the insurance sector, notably serving a substantial tenure at Gallagher. His most recent role at Gallagher was as the Managing Director at its Brierley Hill office for four years. Commencing his journey with Gallagher in 2005, he held various leadership positions, contributing significantly to the company’s diverse development.
During his tenure at Gallagher’s Brierley Hill office, Connop assumed responsibilities for overseeing operations and leading teams to deliver positive outcomes for customers. His role encompassed supporting small businesses, clubs, and associations.
Moreover, he took charge of the new business sales and service teams for the company’s bancassurance accounts, handling a substantial volume of new sales enquiries, servicing existing customers, and securing new clients on a monthly basis.
Connop, a graduate of Dartmouth High School in Great Barr, also holds certification from the Chartered Insurance Institute (Cert CII), underscoring his professional expertise in the field.
In his new capacity at Jensten Insurance Brokers, Connop aims to leverage his extensive experience and industry knowledge to lead and enhance the company’s presence in the Midlands. His appointment aligns with Jensten’s strategic expansion and growth plans in the region.
