Novus Underwriting, a global wholesale warranty and affinity managing general agent (MGA) within Rokstone’s International Speciality re/insurance division, has signed an exclusive binding authority agreement with Collinson Insurance for its annually renewable warranty products, covering more than 500,000 policies.
The deal strengthens Novus’s existing partnerships with multiple providers, enhancing capacity deployment across the UK, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. While the agreement supports Novus’s UK market operations, it also reinforces the company’s growing international presence.
Founded in 2017, Novus has built a diverse product portfolio spanning mobile device protection, GAP cover, appliance and furniture warranties, and financial protection products. The MGA currently writes over £230 million in gross written premium (GWP) annually and has set an ambitious target of reaching £550 million GWP within the next five years. Operating in 26 countries, Novus also has expansion plans for the US, Australia, and India.
The move aligns with Rokstone’s broader growth strategy, which includes penetrating new markets such as the US excess and surplus sector through Rokstone Commercial Risks—a segment experiencing double-digit growth.
Rokstone has also strengthened its underwriting capacity through strategic agreements, including a recent binder with Lloyd’s Somers Syndicates for facultative property, power, and energy risks. These initiatives support its expanding global portfolio, which now exceeds US$300 million in GWP in these classes.
