Paris-based digital insurer Orus has raised €25 million in a Series B funding round to accelerate its European expansion and introduce a new broker platform aimed at transforming how small business insurance is distributed.
The funding round was led by Singular, with continued support from existing backers Notion Capital and Redstone.
Founded in 2021, Orus specializes in digital-first insurance solutions tailored for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Its platform leverages advanced algorithms and over 300 data points—including financial metrics, climate risk indicators, and behavioural patterns—to deliver fast, personalized coverage. According to the company, the onboarding process takes less than five minutes, significantly reducing the time compared to traditional insurers.
With the fresh capital, Orus is set to launch in Spain—its first market beyond France—where early performance has already surpassed expectations. Broader European expansion is planned beginning in 2026.
In tandem with its geographic growth, Orus is introducing a new broker platform designed to modernize the way intermediaries manage insurance. The platform enables brokers to quote, customize, and oversee policies through a single digital interface. By combining the agility of its technology with brokers’ local expertise, Orus aims to enhance both service quality and operational efficiency.
Since its Series A funding 18 months ago, Orus has scaled rapidly, growing its revenue tenfold and now insuring more than 30,000 businesses across Europe. The company maintains a 4.9 out of 5 rating on customer review platforms, underscoring its strong market reception.
Looking ahead, Orus plans to double its workforce in 2026 as it continues to scale operations and expand its product offerings.
