Pen Underwriting has announced a new strategic partnership with Bridgehaven Specialty UK Limited, aimed at enhancing capacity and support within the solicitors’ professional indemnity (PI) market.
Under the agreement, Bridgehaven will provide additional capacity for Pen’s PI portfolio, which caters to a wide spectrum of law firms, ranging from sole practitioners to practices with more than 20 partners.
With over 25 years of experience in solicitors’ PI, Pen Underwriting brings deep market expertise. Its portfolio spans high street firms with diverse caseloads as well as specialist practices focused on areas such as personal injury, criminal, family, and immigration law. The company also leverages in-house claims specialists and seasoned underwriters to support a sector that has undergone significant transformation since the profession shifted from mutual indemnity to commercial insurance in 2000.
