Rapidly thriving specialist loss adjuster QuestGates has completed its acquisition of specialist structural engineering consultancy Structural Surveys Limited (Structural Surveys), its next swoop of the year.
Warrington-headquartered Structural Surveys provides structural surveys and structural design for residential and retail buildings from eight offices in England, Wales, and Scotland.
The deal, completed without the need for external funding, will see Structural Surveys enhance the range of explanations provided by the existing QuestGates surveying services division. However, it will continue to operate under its existing denomination as a separate company led by its founder and managing director Andrew Russell.
Commenting on its second acquisition of the year, QuestGates governing director Chris Hall noted that the firms have had a close relationship over the recent years, so he knows the specialist structural engineering consultancy’s assistance is “second to none.”
“[Russell and his team’s] attention to detail and focus on speed of service for their customers is how we like to do business, and their progressive approach sets them apart from the rest. Their digital strategy aligns with our own – for example, they utilize tablet technology to create their survey reports live on-site, delivering these reports within 24 hours. They also have a real fascination for sustainable and build back better forms of construction, as well as ensuring projects are built to standards commensurate with insurer requirements from a risk management and risk appetite perspective,” Hall said.
Russell added: “We very much respect not only the business that QuestGates has built but [also] the culture that it has fostered over the years. There is a strong synergy between our firms, and we believe that evolving part of the QuestGates family while retaining our brand and operational control will open new doors. It’s a tremendous opportunity for us to grow and create new chances for our people going forward.”
The deal with Structural Surveys follows QuestGates’ acquisition of Amedeo Adjusting (Amedeo) last month, its first swoop of 2022.
