Ryan Specialty has announced the appointment of Sean Ryan as executive vice president of Ryan Re Underwriting Managers.
Founded in 2019, Ryan Re operates as a managing general underwriter specializing in property and casualty treaty reinsurance. In his new role, Ryan will lead strategic business development initiatives, leveraging his extensive expertise in the reinsurance sector to drive the company’s continued growth.
Sean Ryan brings a wealth of experience in reinsurance underwriting and broking. He previously founded Trean Intermediaries, a reinsurance-focused firm launched in 2013, where he served as president. Following Trean’s acquisition by BMS in 2021, he assumed the role of deputy CEO of US Reinsurance.
