Global business solutions provider Sedgwick has announced Neil Gibson as its new CEO in the UK. Formerly serving as COO of Sedgwick’s operations in the UK, New Zealand, Middle East, Africa, and Asia, Gibson is also a member of Sedgwick’s global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) committee.
In a press release, Sedgwick highlighted that Gibson brings over 18 years of leadership experience in the insurance industry, coupled with decades of expertise in operational claims management and colleague development.
Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Gibson stated, “I am honored to take up this new role and contribute to the ongoing growth of Sedgwick’s business and resources in the UK. From my four years as COO to this new position, my focus remains on our people, as they are our most important asset in the work we do. Gibson succeeds Paul White, who was appointed Sedgwick CEO for the UK, New Zealand, Middle East, Africa, and Asia in October 2019. White will maintain oversight of Sedgwick’s business in the UK and other international territories as regional CEO.
Commenting on Gibson’s appointment, White emphasized how Gibson’s successful four-year tenure as COO makes him “the natural choice” to lead Sedgwick’s UK business to the next level. “His industry experience and outstanding knowledge of our local business will serve him well in delivering the best possible service to our clients, and his involvement in Sedgwick’s activities will pave the way for his continued success.
