Arch Insurance International Promotes David Maher to CIO
Arch Insurance International has elevated David Maher to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective immediately.
In his new position, Maher will lead the company’s technology strategy and oversee its infrastructure initiatives, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and enabling scalable growth across the business.
Maher joined Arch in 2024 as International Head of Delivery. His career spans over 25 years in financial services technology, with senior roles at prominent institutions including Lloyds Banking Group, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Direct Line Group, WTW, and UBS.
FCA Names Interim Chair of the Financial Ombudsman Service
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has appointed Liam Coleman as interim chair of the Financial Ombudsman Service, effective October 10, 2025. He will take over following the conclusion of Baroness Zahida Manzoor’s second term.
Coleman brings over three decades of experience in both the financial and public sectors. He previously served as CEO of The Co-operative Bank and held senior treasury roles at RBS and Nationwide Building Society. He currently chairs several public sector organisations, including the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the London and Quadrant Housing Trust.
Victor Insurance UK Appoints New Head of Agriculture Product
Victor Insurance UK has promoted Paula Saxon to lead its UK agriculture product division. In her new role, Saxon will oversee underwriting strategy, profitability, and portfolio growth within the agricultural segment.
She steps into the role following the relocation of her predecessor, Sarah Robinson, to the United States to support the expansion of Victor US Specialty’s agriculture programme.
Saxon joined Victor in 2022 and brings more than 14 years of experience in agricultural insurance, MGAs, and wholesale broking. She previously led farm underwriting operations at AIUA/Geo Agriculture.
