Senior Appointments Announced At Arch, Addept, And Beazley To Strengthen Specialist Insurance Offerings

Arch Insurance International, Addept Insurance Services, and Beazley have each unveiled key senior appointments, underscoring their commitment to enhancing capabilities across niche insurance sectors and global markets.

Arch Insurance Appoints Holley Higgins as Head of Ports & Terminals

Arch Insurance International has named Holley Higgins as Head of Ports & Terminals, a strategic appointment aimed at expanding the firm’s marine insurance portfolio. Based in London, Higgins will oversee underwriting activities for ports and terminals globally, with a focus on both first-party property damage and third-party liability risks.

She will report to Jake Gibbs, Head of Marine, Energy & Construction. Higgins brings over 15 years of industry experience, having most recently served as Head of Transport & Logistics at Markel International.

This follows Arch’s earlier appointment of Ed Short as its inaugural Head of Digital, a newly created position responsible for leading digital underwriting initiatives across its London Market, UK Regional, Australia, EU, and Bermuda operations.

Jo Finan Joins Addept Insurance Services as Operations Director

Addept Insurance Services has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Jo Finan as Operations Director. With a decade of experience in claims, project delivery, and business management within the legal expenses and ancillary insurance sector, Finan will lead the company’s claims and operational functions.

Her remit includes managing Addept’s online claims portal and overseeing the implementation of a new back-office system for claims and contract management, scheduled for launch in Q3 2025.

The appointment comes amid a period of rapid expansion for Addept, which in the first half of 2025 launched new schemes, introduced its first legal expenses product, opened new offices, and scaled its operations in Colchester, Essex.

Beazley Appoints Stefan Wunderlich as Head of Parametric Insurance

Beazley has named Stefan Wunderlich as its new Head of Parametric Insurance, effective June 10. Based in Zurich, he will report to Richard Montminy, Group Head of Property Risks.

Wunderlich joins from Swiss Re, where he held senior positions for over 20 years, focusing on the modelling and underwriting of property and natural catastrophe risks. He also played a pivotal role in developing parametric insurance solutions tailored for corporate clients.

His appointment aligns with Beazley’s ongoing expansion of its property underwriting capabilities, which have grown significantly since 2022. The firm has deepened its presence in the US excess and surplus lines market, broadened its specialist property offerings across Europe, and enhanced its suite of parametric products as part of a wider strategic focus on the property sector.
