Arch Insurance’s UK regional division has bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of Martin Cleary as Leeds branch manager, reinforcing its commitment to growth across the North-East.

In his new role, Cleary will oversee the Leeds office’s day-to-day operations and broker distribution, managing a 15-person team. Reporting to Janine Starkie, regional manager for the North and Scotland, he will focus on strengthening broker relationships and advancing Arch’s regional growth strategy.

Bringing more than three decades of experience in the UK insurance market, Cleary joins from Bravo Network, where he served as head of business development. His earlier career includes senior underwriting roles at Groupama.

Acquis Strengthens European Footprint

Asset finance insurance provider Acquis continues its European growth trajectory with the appointment of Alexander Nielsen as country manager for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Based in the region and reporting to European sales director Martin Lehnert, Nielsen will oversee business development and client management. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the leasing sector, having held senior roles at Creditreform and led leasing operations across the Baltics, Hungary, and Romania.

Lehnert said Nielsen’s deep understanding of leasing and asset finance would be “instrumental in supporting clients’ growth ambitions and enhancing Acquis’ presence across continental Europe.”
