Simply Business, a digital insurance marketplace focused on small businesses, has partnered with Coterie Insurance to expand its business owner’s policy (BOP) coverage nationwide.
Although the financial terms of the partnership remain undisclosed, the collaboration brings together the technological expertise of Coterie, a tech-driven managing general agent (MGA) focused on streamlining small business insurance, with Simply Business’ expansive marketplace. The integration of Coterie’s innovative tech solutions into Simply Business’ platform will enable the marketplace to offer enhanced BOP options with select national carriers. This advancement ensures that small businesses can access tailored coverage solutions at competitive prices.
This partnership marks another milestone for Simply Business, which surpassed one million customers globally in March of this year. The company has been actively forming alliances to broaden and refine its product portfolio within the U.S. market.
In November, Simply Business joined forces with First Connect Insurance Services to enhance the distribution of its small business insurance offerings. The company also partnered with the non-profit organization Sky’s The Limit to support emerging small businesses from minority groups, further solidifying its commitment to empowering entrepreneurs.
Additionally, to bolster its workers’ compensation offerings, Simply Business collaborated with EMPLOYERS to serve over 300 types of small businesses across eligible states, providing a wide range of tailored solutions.
Coterie Insurance has similarly made strides in strengthening its operations through strategic partnerships. Earlier this year, the company teamed up with Berkley Re Solutions and TransUnion to incorporate cyber insurance offerings into its platform. This move followed Coterie’s successful $27 million funding round in March, underscoring its commitment to innovation and growth.
Together, Simply Business and Coterie Insurance are poised to transform the small business insurance landscape, offering enhanced solutions that meet the evolving needs of entrepreneurs nationwide.
