Chief underwriting officer William Beveridge is joining the UK P&I Club on September 17.
When the CEO nomination was first announced in late May, the marine insurer said Beveridge was making the switch upon completion of his employment obligations with Newline Underwriting. No start date was indicated at the time.
“As we continue to seek our diversification and growth strategy, William’s experience as an underwriter of the marine and wider insurance market will play a significant role in the further growth of the Club, and continue our tradition of excellence in disciplined underwriting and quality risk selection,” said UK P&I Club chief executive Andrew Taylor.
“I look forward to working alongside William, and warmly agreeable him to the UK Club.”
Meanwhile Beveridge’s predecessor, Christopher Brown, already assumed his new position as chief manager of Dutch subsidiary UK P&I Club N.V. on September 1.
