AXA Partners, a subsidiary of the AXA Group, has entered into a long-term strategic alliance with global insurtech bolttech to advance embedded insurance and assistance solutions across the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
The collaboration brings together AXA Partners’ extensive B2B2C insurance and assistance offerings—spanning motor, home, travel, health, credit, and lifestyle protection—with bolttech’s comprehensive suite of insurance and technology solutions, including device protection. By integrating their respective capabilities, the two companies aim to deliver more seamless, technology-driven customer experiences.
According to a joint statement, the partnership is designed to unlock new commercial opportunities for business partners by enhancing cross-sell and upsell potential. The initiative will also focus on building strategic relationships with carriers, managing general agents (MGAs), reinsurers, and distribution partners across key sectors such as telecommunications, financial services, utilities, travel, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and retail.
The move comes as embedded insurance continues to gain significant traction across Europe. Research from Mordor Intelligence estimates the market could surge from around US$3.05 billion in 2025 to over US$14 billion by 2030. The growth is being fuelled by insurtech innovation and API-driven distribution models, which enable insurers to connect directly with customers within digital ecosystems. Analysts predict that embedded insurance products could account for up to 30% of property and casualty and 10% of life insurance sales in the region over the next decade.
