Tokio Marine GX Builds Momentum In Renewables With Key Appointments Following GCube Integration

Tokio Marine GX (TMGX) is accelerating its renewable energy ambitions with a series of strategic appointments, leveraging the capabilities gained from its 2020 acquisition of GCube. The moves follow the formal launch of the TMGX platform in May 2025.

Olly Litterick has been appointed Head of Renewables and will report to Chief Underwriting Officer Ben Kinder. He is joined by Rosa van Reyk and Michael Galea, who have been named Heads of North America for the West and East Coasts, respectively. Both van Reyk and Galea bring deep sector experience from GCube and will report to Litterick.

These newly established roles are effective immediately, with additional hires expected as TMGX continues to scale its renewable energy operations.

Litterick previously served as Head of London Market Underwriting at GCube, where he played a key role in driving underwriting performance, international expansion, and business development. At TMGX, he will oversee the firm’s underwriting strategy across onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, and battery storage sectors.

Van Reyk brings 15 years of expertise across insurance and sustainable energy markets. A senior underwriter at GCube for the past six years, she has operated out of California with a focus on complex and high-value risks in North America.

Galea, who joined GCube’s London office in 2012, relocated to New York three years ago. He has over a decade of experience in the renewables sector and has worked closely with US-based clients to deliver specialised insurance solutions.

Operating from Orange County and New York City, van Reyk and Galea will lead TMGX’s North American underwriting strategy, tasked with strengthening the company’s regional presence and expanding capacity for clients across the continent.

TMGX was launched to address the growing demand for insurance solutions that support the global energy transition. The platform integrates GCube’s established renewable energy expertise with Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire’s offshore marine capabilities and the broader resources of the Tokio Marine Group.
