AXA XL Strengthens Property and Underwriting Leadership
AXA XL has announced two key leadership appointments within its UK and Lloyd’s business, reflecting its ongoing focus on underwriting excellence and strategic growth.
Sabrina Lahrmann (pictured, left) has been promoted to Head of International Property, UK & Lloyd’s, effective November 1. Based in London, she will oversee the underwriting strategy for AXA XL’s international property retail business across the UK and Lloyd’s markets.
Lahrmann brings more than 20 years of underwriting and risk management experience, having previously served as underwriting manager for the same division. Her career also includes senior positions at AXA UK and Allianz.
Additionally, David Jones will join AXA XL as Chief Underwriting Officer of Retail, UK & Lloyd’s, beginning in spring 2026. Jones currently serves as Director of Underwriting for Property and Packaged Business at QBE Insurance. With over two decades of industry experience, including leadership roles at Aviva and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group, he will play a pivotal role in shaping AXA XL’s underwriting strategy and portfolio development.

NSM UK Expands Operations Leadership
NSM UK has appointed Neil Thomsett (pictured, right) as Operations Director across its insurance distribution businesses, Kingfisher Insurance and Kingsbridge.
In his new role, Thomsett will oversee technology and operational integration initiatives following NSM’s recent investment in digital systems aimed at improving broking efficiency and client service delivery.
