Zurich North America Announces Key Leadership Promotions

Zurich North America has announced a series of strategic leadership promotions within its Customer and Distribution Management (CDM) team, reinforcing its commitment to deepening broker partnerships and enhancing customer support throughout the U.S. market.

The company has appointed Carl Sutter as Head of National Strategic Broker Relationships, Andy Peterson as Head of Regional Distribution, and Allison McEnerney Sletteland as Regional Executive for the New York Metro region.

Carl Sutter, previously Head of Regional Distribution, will now lead all broker relationship leaders across the country. Based in Florida, Sutter joined Zurich in 2021 and brings over 20 years of industry expertise, including senior roles at Chubb and ACE USA. In his new capacity, he will focus on strengthening and expanding Zurich’s strategic partnerships with key brokers nationwide.

Andy Peterson, formerly the Regional Executive for the New York Metro area, will assume leadership of Zurich’s national team of regional, area, and territory executives. He will be responsible for executing the company’s North American distribution strategy and amplifying Zurich’s customer value proposition. Peterson, who has been with Zurich since 2008, has held a variety of leadership positions including Senior Broker Relationship Leader and Regional Vice President for the Northeast Region. He will continue to be based in the New York metropolitan area.

Allison McEnerney Sletteland has been promoted to Regional Executive for the New York Metro region. She most recently served as a Broker Relationship Leader and brings a wealth of experience from prior roles at Marsh McLennan, Priceline, and Citigroup. Since joining Zurich in 2008, she has played a key role in building broker relationships and driving regional performance. In her new role, she will lead Zurich’s strategy and engagement in one of its most vital regional markets.

These appointments reflect Zurich’s ongoing investment in leadership talent to better serve brokers and customers and support the company’s long-term growth strategy across the U.S.
