Durham based insurtech Honcho is selected by Insurtech NY to join its 2020 accelerator program. Honcho is one of two UK insurtechs to be selected by the US-based accelerator.
Insurtech NY is one of the largest insurtech communities in New York. Its programs aim to identify insurtech talent, connect businesses, and improve investment.
Honcho, the fintech business who last year launched into the car insurance
market and recently launched their van insurance product will join the cohort and represent the UK; it is one of two UK-based firms out of 22 firms on the program, on-demand insurance firm Guardhog is the other.
Gavin Sewell, Honcho’s CEO commented on the inclusion “we are incredibly excited to have won a place on the Insurtech NY Growth Accelerator, which comes as we are increasingly gaining international visibility, and serves to reflect the global potential of the Honcho platform.”
