Cytora, an AI-powered risk processing platform serving commercial insurers, has formed a strategic partnership with Octave Specialty Group, a specialty insurance platform that builds, acquires, and scales managing general agencies (MGAs). The collaboration is designed to support the launch and day-to-day operations of new MGA businesses.
As part of the agreement, Octave will utilize Cytora’s configurable AI-powered risk processing platform and workflow automation technology to establish operational infrastructure for new MGAs. The platform is expected to accelerate market entry through pre-configured digital insurance solutions while streamlining risk processing across Octave’s expanding portfolio.
Under the partnership, Cytora’s technology will digitize incoming risk submissions, enhance them with external data sources, assess information against underwriting rules such as appetite and priority criteria, and direct risks into downstream systems for either automated or manual underwriting.
The collaboration reflects the increasing adoption of AI-driven risk processing and workflow automation within the specialty insurance sector, where insurers and MGAs are seeking greater operational efficiency and more scalable underwriting capabilities.
