Ki, a digital and algorithmic driven Lloyd’s syndicate, launched by Google Cloud and Brits, has announced that Richard Hodgson will be appointed as its first Chief Technology Officer, which is effective from 23rd August 2021
Richard has 18 years of experience across different technology sectors, including building user experience working on complex data sets. He has taken on the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and will be taking place on the Ki executive committee. He will be reporting to James Brich, the development director.
With this role, Richard takes responsibility for leading Ki’s technology strategy and execution, including engineering functions.
Before joining Ki, Richard was CTO of Bricklane, an online residential property investment portal. He also held positions such as technical architect and senior engineer at Conde Nast and the BCC.
The CEO of Ki, Mark Allan, said that at Ki, they are taking a technology-first approach to underwriting; therefore, they are delighted that Richard joins Ki in the newly created role of CTO.
