Swiss Re has made an announcement about its plan to create a central cyber underwriting team. John Colletti will join Swiss Re as the new head of global cyber. The current Head of Cyber Solution, Maya Bundt, has decided to sign up for the newly created role at the Swiss Re Institute’s Cyber Centre of Competence.
The Central Cyber Underwriting Team will assume worldwide responsibility for Swiss Re’s product and underwriting development activities in its cyber sector. Swiss Re focuses on strengthening its client
offering and its position as a thorough leader in the market by creating better dedicated cyber capabilities.
John will be joining Swiss Re in early October. He will be joining from AXA XL, where he has worked as a Chief Underwriting Officer for Cyber since 2012. He is an admired leader in the cyber insurance market and was one of the explorers in this dynamic line of business. With his work experience, John will lend a hand to Swiss Re to face the complex nature of cyber risk, including prime industry issues such as ransomware and risk aggregation. John will be reporting to the Head of Global Specialty, Gregory Schiffer, and taking responsibility for Swiss Re’s global cyber business, which consists of
global underwriting activities, portfolio ownership, and cyber product development.
