AM Specialty Insurance And Brown & Riding Announce Key Executive Appointments

Amid ongoing expansion and leadership transitions in the insurance sector, AM Specialty Insurance Company (ASIC) and Brown & Riding have announced significant executive appointments to bolster their operational capabilities and strategic direction.

AM Specialty Insurance Appoints New Head of Claims

AM Specialty Insurance Company has named Stefanie Milch, Esq., as its new head of claims. Milch, who brings over 25 years of legal and leadership experience, will oversee ASIC’s claims operations and spearhead the development and execution of claims strategies across multiple business lines.

A licensed attorney in New York and Connecticut, Milch has held senior claims management positions at major carriers and service providers. Her expertise spans various sectors, including commercial auto liability, general liability, real estate, construction defect, healthcare, executive and professional liability, and aviation. She has a proven track record in leading claims teams and implementing operational frameworks that optimize efficiency and financial performance.

This appointment follows ASIC’s recent leadership expansion in February, when the company appointed Mary McKay as chief underwriting officer for its managing general agency, Pinpoint Insurance Solutions.

Brown & Riding Strengthens National Construction Practice Leadership

In a separate development within the commercial insurance sector, Brown & Riding has named George Sella as co-leader of its National Construction Practice. Sella will collaborate with Chris Brown, the firm’s chairman and national casualty and construction practice leader, to enhance the business unit’s operations.

With more than 15 years of industry experience, Sella became a principal at Brown & Riding in 2015. In his expanded role, he will focus on integrating the construction group’s operations into a cohesive, multi-disciplinary practice serving clients across the United States.

Additionally, earlier this month, Brown & Riding expanded its transportation practice by appointing Courtney Murphree, Murphree will lead the division alongside Tim Pedersen Jr.

These leadership changes underscore both companies’ commitment to strengthening their expertise and service offerings in an evolving insurance landscape.
