Aon has acquired actuarial software platform Tyche from technology and software firm RPC Tyche which will provide re/insurance a single technology platform

For an unknown fee, Aon, a renowned global professional services organisation, has acquired software platform Tyche from technology and software startup RPC Tyche.

With the acquisition of Tyche, Aon will be able to provide re/insurers with a single technological platform that can seamlessly combine capital modelling, pricing, and reserving to help them make smarter decisions in both life and non-life insurance.

The chairman of Aon’s insurance consulting team, Nick Frankland, said: “This innovative new offering, when combined with Aon’s existing global capabilities, will help deliver new software and consulting solutions to previously underserved markets, bringing significant value to Aon’s re/insurer clients. Tyche’s expertise is geared to support insurers’ decision-making frameworks as they face more complex risks and growing regulatory constraints. We are delighted to welcome Tyche’s approximately 140 employees to Aon, as we share a commitment to innovation on behalf of our clients.”
