Aon Announces Key Leadership Transitions And Strategic Appointments

Aon plc has announced a series of leadership changes, including the departure of Eric Andersen from his role as president.

According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Andersen stepped down as Aon’s president on March 14. Having joined the company in 1997 through Aon’s acquisition of Minet, Andersen played a pivotal role in advancing Aon’s United strategy over the past 28 years. During his tenure as president, he was instrumental in integrating Aon’s risk capital and human capital capabilities while overseeing the firm’s “3×3 Plan.”

In another key leadership appointment, Aon has named Denise Perlman as the chief executive officer of its North America Middle Market practice, effective April 1. In this role, Perlman will lead a team dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions for middle-market clients across risk and human capital sectors while working closely with Aon Business Services. She joins Aon from Marsh McLennan Agency, where she served as president of the national business insurance division.

Additionally, Aon is set to welcome John Neal, who will transition from his role as CEO of Lloyd’s later this year to assume a senior leadership position within the firm. Neal, who led Lloyd’s for more than six years, will join Aon as global CEO of reinsurance and global chairman of climate solutions. Lloyd’s has yet to confirm his official departure date.

Further leadership developments include the appointment of Anne Corona as CEO of enterprise clients and global chief commercial officer in December. In her role, Corona will collaborate with leaders from Aon’s Enterprise Client Group and regional chief commercial officers to advance the company’s next-generation Aon Client Leadership strategy. This initiative is designed to deliver integrated solutions that assist clients in managing risks effectively.

Moreover, Aon has named Magnus Roe as global chief data and analytics officer. Roe will be responsible for enhancing the company’s analytical capabilities and enabling clients to make data-driven decisions.

These leadership transitions underscore Aon’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its strategic initiatives and delivering innovative solutions to its clients worldwide.
