Aston Lark Ireland Amasses Gateway Insurance & Investments

Aston Lark Ireland has decided to acquire Revoclife Limited, which trades under the name Gateway Insurance and Investments.

The acquisition is accountable to regulatory permission.

Established more than 40 years ago in Athlone, County Westmeath, Gateway Insurance and Investments serves both retail and personal customers, with an area in the SME sector. The broker offers general insurance and other economic line products.

“I am delighted to greet Tom Fitzgerald and the Gateway team at Aston Lark,” said Aston Lark Ireland CEO Robert Kennedy. “It is another fantastic modification to our growing business in the Midlands, further enhancing our capacity in the region.”

Kennedy added that the Gateway team’s client and people-first approach will continue to grow and take advantage of being part of Aston Lark and its parent company, Howden. The CEO also hinted that Aston Lark was “keen to begin again growing and amassing like-minded brokers in Ireland,” to evolve into Ireland’s leading independent insurance dealer.

“This is a fantastic development for our clients,” remarked Gateway Insurance and Investments managing director Tom Fitzgerald. “In addition to all our occurring services that are principally based around a highly personable service provided through dedicated and informed account handlers, we now also have access to global markets, a broader product range, and an experienced, similarly concentrated network of colleagues.”

Fitzgerald gave confirmations to both Gateway’s clients and staff that the company “took great care” in assigning its partnership with Aston Lark.

“This is a proud day for us at Gateway, and I would like to praise the Aston Lark team for a smooth and honorable evolution of the Gateway business to Aston Lark,” the managing manager said.

Last month, Aston Lark acquired AJ Insurance Service in Tilbury, Essex. Initially focused on personal lines, AJ Insurance also offers commercial insurance, with a focus on building, motor fleet and motor trade, and estate.
