Beazley appoints new Head of Cyber Services International

Beazley has appointed Christian Taube as its new Head of Cyber Services International, following two further senior hires in the cyber team last month

Organizations must ensure that their technology and risk management tools remain a key priority as the cyber risk landscape evolves. As part of its rapid development of its cyber team this year, specialist insurer Beazley has appointed Christian Taube as its new Head of Cyber Services International.

His hiring comes on the heels of Russ Cohen’s appointment as Head of US Cyber Services and Bala Larson’s appointment as Head of Client Experience in February.

Since its inception in 1986, the Beazley Group has prioritised technological improvements. The company is a member of the Lloyd’s market, the world’s largest and oldest insurance market. It has access to a wide range of insurance and reinsurance firms from all over the world thanks to the Lloyd’s broker network and trading licences.

Making cyber security a priority

Taube was Chief Information Security Officer at Contentserv before joining Beazley, and before that, he created DataGuard’s information security practise. He will be based at Beazley’s Munich office and will be in charge of expanding and improving the firm’s cyber risk management and incident response capabilities.

“When you consider the ever-changing risk landscape, and notably the rapid growth in ransomware in recent years, it is fair to conclude that maintaining excellent cyber hygiene should be a critical focus for all businesses today,” said Raf Sanchez, Global Head of Cyber Services. To further lower their chance of being a victim of an assault, business executives must be convinced that their risk management systems are equal to the task.

“A fundamental goal for Beazley is to provide clients all over the world with the tools they need to stay ahead of the cyber curve. I’m thrilled to welcome Christian into the fold to help us continue our rapid international expansion in this area.”
