CFC Announces Leadership Change With Adam Winslow As New CEO

CFC has appointed Adam Winslow as its new group chief executive officer, with Louise O’Shea set to step down after leading the company for nearly six years. O’Shea will continue to hold a significant shareholding in the business following her departure.

Winslow joins CFC from Direct Line Group, where he served as group CEO and led the company’s £3.7 billion merger with Aviva. Prior to that, he headed Aviva’s UK and Ireland general insurance division. His appointment is expected to take effect during the summer of 2026, pending regulatory approval.

Until Winslow officially assumes the role, Andy Holmes, CFC’s group capacity director and a long-serving executive with 23 years at the company, will act as chief executive officer.

Leadership transition

O’Shea initially joined CFC as an independent non-executive director before being appointed chief executive. During her leadership, the company strengthened its senior management team, introduced a global operating model, expanded its specialist insurance product portfolio and accelerated its international growth.

Reflecting on her time at the company, O’Shea said it had been “an absolute privilege” to work alongside the team and help build CFC into the business it is today. She added that Winslow is well positioned to lead the company’s next stage of development and global expansion, wishing him and the wider team continued success.

Headquartered in London, CFC employs more than 1,000 people and has operations spanning more than 100 countries.
