Specialist underwriting supervision group DUAL has announced that Floris Wijchman has been named retail director of DUAL Europe.
“We are delighted to greet Floris to the DUAL Europe leadership team. His extensive experience both in the commercial and reinsurance industry will play a key role in helping to make DUAL Europe the specialty market of choice for quality brokers,” said DUAL Europe CEO Olaf Jonda.
Jonda added that DUAL has been operating in Europe for nearly 25 years, and while the company is a significant player in the underwriting field, it still sees “real opportunities to additional expand [its] European footprint.”
“Floris’s proven track record in driving growth makes him an invaluable member of our team,” the chief manager prefaced.

Wijchman has more than 25 years of insurance business experience, most recently serving as managing director for Allianz’s Global MidCorp business unit. He has also held various roles at Swiss Re, including head of CEO office.
Olaf Jonda himself was called DUAL Europe’s CEO earlier this month. Alongside his appointment, Daniela Rubes was also named chief financial officer of the European unit.
