FUW Insurance Services Limited has unveiled FUW Commercial, a new division designed to strengthen its foothold in the commercial insurance sector across North Wales.
The new division will initially serve businesses along the A55 corridor, offering comprehensive insurance solutions across various industries, including haulage, construction, hospitality, motor trade, retail, and leisure.
This launch marks a significant shift for FUW Insurance Services, which has traditionally focused on agricultural clients. FUW Commercial is now broadening its scope to include a diverse range of commercial enterprises.
FUW Commercial will provide access to a wide selection of commercial insurance products, including coverage for property, vehicles, liability, and business continuity. Positioned as a regional provider with in-depth local knowledge and sector-specific expertise, the new division will benefit from FUW’s established network of brokers.
Leading the new division is Esther Richards Dip CII, who has been a part of FUW Insurance Services since 2013, working across the organisation’s Flintshire and Denbighshire offices.
A wholly owned subsidiary of the Farmers’ Union of Wales, FUW Insurance Services’ new commercial arm coincides with the union’s 70th anniversary. The introduction of FUW Commercial aligns with a broader strategy to expand the organisation’s insurance services beyond its traditional agricultural base.
FUW Commercial will operate as an independent business unit while continuing to collaborate with the wider FUW Insurance Services team for operational support. The company has also indicated that it may expand its commercial offering into additional regions, depending on client demand.
