Motor trade insurance broker Hamilton Leigh is now acquired by Specialist Risk Group (SRG) after the mediators business completed its Hertfordshire plunge.
Under SRG ownership, Hamilton Leigh will join Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS), which is the commercial division of SRG. The plan is to broaden into other specialist sectors while proceeding to invest in Hamilton Leigh’s expertise in motor trade and technology.
“The team at Hamilton Leigh is so delighted to now be part of the Specialist Risk Group,” said Hamilton Leigh governing director Lee Cohen. “Both businesses share the same importance and passion for their people, which was a major deliberation when deciding SRG as the best home for Hamilton Leigh.
“The success Hamilton Leigh has achieved to date has been a real team effort, and we look forward to continuing to grow the business with our new friends at SRG.”
Meanwhile, SRG deputy group chief executive Lee Anderson interpreted the acquired firm as a “fantastic team who will add substantial value” to SRIS.
“We enjoyed getting to know each other throughout the deal procedure, and I am looking forward to working nearly with Lee, [director] Jill [Hamilton], and their team, as we help them to fulfill the next phase of their growth plans.”
Hamilton Leigh has been in the industry since 1987.
