Mambu, the cloud banking platform, has announced a partnership with Mastercard, the global payments company, to help financial institutions using its platform provide faster, safer and more transparent international payment services.
As part of the partnership, Mambu will integrate Mastercard Move, Mastercard’s global money movement solution, with its Intelligent Core. Mambu’s Intelligent Core is a cloud-native platform for core banking and payments that enables financial institutions to operate, manage and scale financial services.
Through the integration, Mambu customers will have access to a ready-to-use connection with Mastercard Move’s cross-border payment capabilities. This is designed to reduce implementation complexity and enable financial institutions to launch international payment services more quickly.
The integration will also allow banks and other financial institutions to incorporate cross-border payments directly into their digital banking experiences. This can provide customers with a more seamless way to make and manage international transfers.
The partnership further expands Mambu’s presence in the payments sector, following its acquisition of Numeral in 2024. The collaboration is expected to provide financial institutions with a foundation for developing international payment services for both small and medium-sized businesses and retail customers, as demand for more transparent and friction-free cross-border transfers continues to grow.
Mastercard Move supports money transfers to and between more than 200 countries and territories and across more than 150 currencies. The service reaches more than 17 billion endpoints and approximately 95% of the world’s banked population.
