QBE Europe appoints its first chief customer officer

QBE European Operations has made an announcement about appointing Andy Besant to the newly fabricated role of chief customer officer.

In this new role, Andy will be responsible for QBE European Operations’ sales strategy, distribution, client propositions, the management and development of major trading partnerships, significant client relationships, and other priority customer segments. He will be reporting directly to the Managing Director, insurance, Cécile Fresneau. Andy is presently Managing Director for Travel Experience at Collinson Group, and Andy will be joining QBE by the end of the year (2021). Previously in his career, he held several senior sales and distribution leadership positions at American Express and HiFX.

Managing Director, insurance, QBE European Operations, Cécile Fresneau, said that their overall business and customer strategy is at the heart of this role, as they continue to deliver value to their customers in a responsible, accountable way ensure long-term sustainable relationships. Andy will bring different customer experiences in terms of his mindset, insight, and delivery. He is looking forward to welcoming Andy to his team towards the end of this year.

QBE European Operations division is the European arm of Australia headquartered in the QBE Insurance group. It offers motor, property, and casualty insurance and specialized financial lines, marine, and energy products to business clients of small, medium, and large customer bases.
