QBE International has turned into one of its best for a key meeting.
The company has named Rob Stone as CFO of the international division on the back of 14 years with the firm. Most recently, Stone led Equator Re, the company’s inward reinsurance facility, and then stepped in to run the finance, actuarial and legal procedure for an interim period after Chris Killourhy moved across to QBE Re.
“We’re delighted that Rob is making the move to CFO for our international division,” said Jason Harris, CEO of QBE International. “His experience overseeing Equator Re as well as overseeing finance, actuarial and legal for International will be of great value to this role and help to deliver our strategic goals. This appointment is yet another testament to the great pipeline of talent we have within our business, having filled several senior leadership positions internally this year.”
With Stone moving on, Equator Re is now looking to bring in a new managing director. Victoria Smith has taken the position on an interim basis.
