Rokstone Appoints Rob Winsley As Capacity Manager And Broker Relationship Director

Rokstone, an international specialty re/insurance managing general agent (MGA), has appointed Rob Winsley as its new capacity manager and broker relationship director.

Winsley steps into this newly created role after a decade at Howden, where he advanced from junior broker to director. With extensive experience in cultivating strategic partnerships with carriers and brokers, Winsley has also managed and placed significant portfolios within Lloyd’s and the London Market. He will assume his role at Rokstone upon completing his notice period.

In his new position, Winsley will be responsible for overseeing distribution across all business lines, identifying new avenues for mutual growth, and driving expansion into additional sectors.

The new role comes following a major leadership shakeup at the Aventum Group company, with Rokstone naming Ian Anson as its new CEO. Meanwhile, his predecessor, industry stalwart James Potter, has taken on the chairman role.

In addition to these leadership changes, Rokstone has broadened its offerings in the directors and officers (D&O) and professional indemnity (PI) markets. The firm recently introduced a combined facility for financial institutions across the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Caribbean, backed by a US$10 million Lloyd’s binder.

Currently, Rokstone underwrites over US$1.1 billion in gross written premium across multiple specialty lines. These include property, power generation, marine, aviation, warranty, credit and surety treaty, agriculture, construction and engineering, accident and health, contingency, liability, and sports and leisure.
