The Hartford has announced the appointment of Kathleen Winters to its board of directors, effective July 1. Winters will serve on both the finance, investment, and risk management committee and the audit committee.
Winters began her career at PwC and most recently served as chief financial officer at Automatic Data Processing (ADP), where she spearheaded transformative initiatives to enhance financial and operational performance. Prior to her role at ADP, she was the CFO at MSCI.
Her extensive career also includes various leadership roles at Honeywell International, culminating in her position as CFO for Performance Materials and Technologies. Additionally, Winters serves as an independent director on the boards of Global Business Travel Group and Definitive Healthcare Corp.
Christopher Swift, chairman and chief executive of The Hartford, commented: “Kathleen’s experience as CFO for two major public companies brings valuable C-suite expertise, deep financial knowledge, and a strong focus on business growth and profitability.
“She is a highly respected leader who has successfully managed global finance organizations and consistently delivered exceptional results. We are excited to welcome Kathleen to the board as we continue to innovate, grow profitably, and create long-term value for our shareholders.”
Swift also expressed his gratitude to Edmund Reese, who recently stepped down from The Hartford’s board on May 31 to assume the role of chief financial officer at Aon.
