USSA Cuts Insurance rates in the Wake of COVID-19

In wake of COVID-19, USSA took action by reducing homeowners’ and renters’ insurance rates in three states which include Ohio, Wisconsin, and Colorado. This action reinforces the company’s vision to innovate and build for the future.

There is a decrease of 4.9% in Ohio and Wisconsin homeowners’ insurance rates and a 4.8% decrease in Colorado renters’ insurance rates. For the active-duty military members, there is a 14% and 9% decrease in homeowners’ insurance in the state of Ohio and Wisconsin respectively.

“At USAA, we are committed to serving the military community – as they protect our nation,” said USAA property and casualty president and retired US Navy vice admiral Jim Syring. “We are committed to providing competitive products and services that support military families – and rate reductions are just one way we bring our mission to life.”

This rate reduction will save more than 60,000 USAA members more than $1.5 million in Ohio, $1.1 million for the nearly 25,000 customers in Wisconsin, and customers in Colorado can save more than $250,000 due to renters’ insurance reduction.
