WTW phrases renewable power industry leader in GB

Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has appointed Robert Gardner to the role of retail industry leader – renewable energy & power for the company’s risk & broking division in Great Britain.

In his new role, Gardner will support the expansion of WTW’s GB retail footprint, working closely with both the GB retail utility practice and the natural resources global line of business teams. He will report to WTW GB retail sales and client management leader Adrian Willmott.

A veteran with 29 years of experience, Gardner joins WTW from Marsh, where he held a variety of leadership roles in London and New York for 27 years.
“I am delighted to be joining Willis Towers Watson at an exciting time in the development of the business. The renewable energy sector is developing fast as we see economies react to climate change,” said Gardner. “Willis Towers Watson have an array of resources to help our clients manage risk in this arena. I am looking forward to delivering those resources to the industry sector.”

The news arrives shortly after WTW unveiled its new branding identity, with a new logo that drops “Willis Towers Watson” for the acronym “WTW”. Previously trading under the ticker “WLTW” on the Nasdaq stock market, the firm also announced that it now trades under “WTW”.
