Huntington Insurance Names New President

Huntington Bancshares, the parent company of The Huntington National Bank, has appointed Angie Klett as president of Huntington Insurance.

In her new role, Klett will spearhead the expansion of the insurance division and manage its various segments, including commercial insurance, employee benefits, life insurance, personal lines insurance, as well as title and captive insurance.

Klett joins Huntington from Nationwide Insurance, where she served as senior vice president of corporate development. At Nationwide, she led mergers and acquisitions, ventures, and strategic partnerships.

According to a news release, Klett also led Nationwide Brokerage Solutions. Her extensive experience at Nationwide spans finance, procurement, product development, technology, and business transformation. Klett holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and is based in Central Ohio.

Brant Standridge, president of consumer and regional banking at Huntington, emphasized that Klett’s appointment aligns with the company’s commitment to growth.

This leadership change comes as Mary Beth Sullivan prepares for retirement from Huntington on July 1 after nearly two decades with the company.

Insurance products are provided by Huntington Insurance, a fully licensed agency and wholly owned subsidiary of Huntington Bancshares. These products are underwritten by other independent third-party insurance carriers.
