Overview of the National Exhibition Centre (NEC)

The venue was officially inaugurated by the Queen in 1976. Since then, NEC has championed in organizing and exhibiting and its success is apparent from its size expansion and acclaimed reputation all over the globe. Significantly, it has become the UK’s most busy and most preferred venue for organizers, exhibitors, and visitors. It offers a vast range of spaces to match different demands right from the small meetings to mega congresses and large exhibitions.

With 40+ experience it has pushed itself winning the challenges in the industry by adopting relevant changes. Notably, each year it hosts over 2.3 million guests,  45,000 exhibiting companies, and 500 events with the same enthusiasm and dedication. The diverse events that took place include from small-scale ‘wee pups of Crufts Dog Show’ to the ‘International Spring Fair’, which is Europe’s biggest home trade show.

Also, it is easily accessible because of its location near junction 6 of the M42 motorway, plus it is adjacent to Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International railway station in Solihull, England. Moreover, it supports the multi-purpose LG Arena making it an all-purpose venue, because it not only has lavish indoors but also a beach and lake for delegates to enjoy the exterior. Especially, this 24/7 venue is all in one destination with its Resorts World which became the UK’s first integrated leisure and entertainment spot – opened in 2015. It has a casino, Asian-themed Santai Spa, 4-star boutique hotel, Cineworld, a grand shopping center with 50 outlets, an 11-screen IMAX cinema, many bars and restaurants, and one another conference center Vox. Because of all these reasons, it conquered the AEO Venue of the Year award in 2016, 2018, and 2019.
